Реферат: The report will analyze woven ornaments on fragments of unique silk fabric that served as a border for the hem of a robe or caftan from burial mound 20 of the Noyon Uul burial ground. The images are woven with dark red threads on sand-colored silk. The first composition depicts the guardian spirits of the cardinal directions: a dragon, next to which is an anthropomorphic character (according to our version, Fuxi, who is the ancestor and culture hero in Chinese mythology), a turtle and a bird. Between these figures the character hua 崋 is woven, which in this context, in our opinion, denotes the name of Mount Hua, one of the five sacred mountains of religious Taoism in China. The second ornament is more difficult to interpret, it includes two anthropomorphic figures, one of them, apparently, performing a dance. Perhaps, this is a fragment of a depiction of a baixi (“hundred shows”) performance. The designs on the silk fabrics include themes popular in Han visual art, particularly they can be found in tomb murals and reliefs.
